Cost Analysis

A breakdown of what may increase the price of a commission or other project. These points will detail how and why your prices may differ from the price listed on the commissions page.

Detail

Excessive detail work on a piece may raise your price. The amount of time that is spent drawing out every detail takes away from time that may be spent on other works, and as such will up the price if the necessary workload exceeds a certain level. Labor is valuable, and will need to be compensated.

Revisions

The customer is allowed up to 2 free revisions at each stage (sketch, lines, flat colors, shading). One revision accounts for anything caught between updates. After the two revisions have been used, there will be an added fee that will be applied based on the scale of the revision. If revisions to a past stage are to be made further along in the process, the free revisions will not apply, and a fee will be added based on the scale of the revision (e.g. If the sketch needs to be revised, but the work is already to the flat color stage, it may be an added fee of $10).

Commercial Use

If your commission is intended for commercial use, I will add a commercial fee of $50. This will allow you to use my work in an advertisement, poster, or otherwise commercialized manner. This fee is not applicable to logos - as they are specifically commercial - or to anything where royalties will be paid.

Terms of Use

How updates will be given, purchases can be made, and artwork may be posted.

Payment

There are two options for payment.
The first option is to pay the entirety up-front. These payments are refundable up to half of the full cost unless work has exceeded past 75% completion.
The second option is to have a payment plan. For single illustrations, 50% of the full payment must be received before any work has begun on the piece. For larger projects, installments can be discussed via email. If you have any questions about payment plans, you are free to contact me via email or social media.

Updates

The customer will receive an update at each stage of the process (sketch, lines, flat colors, shading) in order to allow for revisions. Updates may be slow going, but customers are more than welcome to contact me and ask for an update if they have any concerns. If revisions are made, additional updates will be added to account for them.

Posting

Customers will receive two (2) versions of their piece, one watermarked and one unwatermarked. The piece with a watermark is for reposts onto social media, whereas the unwatermarked piece is only to be used for personal use.
